East Jakarta Deploys 400 Tagana in Anticipating Flood

East Jakarta Social Sub-agency deployed 400 Taruna Siaga Bencana (Tagana) personnel to anticipate flood, inundation, and other disasters in several locations in East Jakarta.

All things needed for disaster mitigation have been prepared and ready

East Jakarta Social Sub-agency Head, Purwono said, his side has operated public kitchen for 24 hours, disaster mitigation post, and activated 18 Disaster Preparedness Villages (KSB)s.

As well as appointing person in charge (PIC) for communication / coordination per person in 65 urban villages and preparing things needed for disaster mitigation.

East Jakarta Has Prepared Disaster Mitigation Infrastructure

"All things needed for disaster mitigation have been prepared and ready," he asserted, Friday (10/16).

Moreover, he also coordinated with urban villages in the region to check facilities in KSB, and encouraged them to report any damage thus his side could follow it up immediately.

"At city level, we continue to coordinate with other units such as Gulkarmat, PMI, city governments and other related units thus flood victims can be handled properly and avoid it from becoming new cluster of COVID-19," he closed.
